Each class will begin with a warm welcome, a little introduction to the practice and to each other, and possibly a theme for the day. You’ll then have an opportunity to ask any questions before settling in for 30-45 minutes of Yoga Nidrā. At the end of the practice you are welcome to simply sign off and stay in your internal space, or to join the group again for any closing questions, comments or sharing.
“The Yoga Nidrā class was perfect. I was so relaxed and grounded after we were done. I loved being with other Mamas and their babies in the class as well.”
To participate in this practice you will need:
*A comfortable space to lie down, preferably somewhere private where you won't be interrupted.
*You may choose to lie on your back, or on your left side, or even sit semi reclined with supports, whichever is more comfortable for you depending on what stage of pregnancy you are in and how you're feeling
*You may like to lie on your bed, although the intention in Yoga Nidra is to stay awake, and lying in bed can sometimes make you feel more sleepy! If this is the case, set up a cozy spot for yourself on the floor instead. Of course if you do fall asleep, that is welcome (and likely needed!) too.
*Before joining the class, gather at least 2 blankets and 2 pillows to support your comfort, and to cover up and stay warm and cozy.
*You may like to use an eye pillow or mask if you have one to cover the eyes (even a scarf will do!)
*You may like to listen with headphones or ear buds to help seal off external noise distractions
First class is always free
Suggested contribution thereafter is $15 CAD.
